Starting a Research Space

A new research space should begin with restraint.

1. State the domain and boundary.
2. Create the governing research-space object.
3. Record the initiating question without forcing a conclusion.
4. Define only the vocabulary needed to begin.
5. Capture observations and sources separately from explanation.
6. Record early assumptions and uncertainties.
7. Establish stewardship and review expectations.

The aim is not to design the entire ontology before research begins. It is to create enough structure that the first correction can be preserved responsibly.
