The architecture of correctable knowledge

QLens is a repository-first system for preserving how understanding changes under the pressure of evidence.

It begins with a distinction that must never be blurred:

Reality is not produced by research. Research changes understanding, not Reality.

From that distinction follow the central commitments of QLens:

  • Reality remains the authority.
  • Every understanding remains correctable.
  • Evidence and reasoning must be traceable.
  • Uncertainty must be representable without embarrassment.
  • Revision must preserve history rather than erase it.
  • Presentation must never become the source of canonical meaning.
  • Tools may protect integrity, but they may not declare truth.

This book explains the philosophy, research discipline, repository model, object system, lifecycle, governance, and practical operating method of QLens. The adjacent Specification, Architecture, and Implementation workspaces translate these commitments into contracts, schemas, components, and executable tooling.

How to read this book

Read Parts I–III as the philosophical foundation. Parts IV–VI define the research and repository discipline. Parts VII–IX explain operation, governance, and implementation boundaries. Part X states the long-term direction.

The book is not a claim that QLens is finished. It is a commitment that QLens must remain capable of correction without losing continuity.
